Closet Supply:

It is highly recommended to maintain a locked closet stocked with additional supplies that cleaners can access during each visit. We will notify you if supplies start running low. Keeping it adequately stocked with toiletries and other supplies is an important part of ensuring guest satisfaction (and in turn, ensuring positive reviews and ratings).

Bedding:

  • For pet-friendly rental units, it's crucial to invest in high-quality bed sheets. The reason is that lower-quality sheets tend to retain pet hair, even after being washed and dried. Given the tight schedule of meeting check-in and check-out times, there's no opportunity to rewash laundry or use a lint roller for hair removal several times.

  • It's advisable to have at least two sets of sheets for each bed so we can be prepared for any emergencies, such as stains, tears, etc.

  • Opt for lightweight duvets or blankets to make the laundry process more efficient.

Towels:

  • It's essential to keep a supply of extra towels on hand in case of stains or tears. However, avoid placing them out in bulk, as some guests may use them all, even during a short two-day stay. We suggest providing two towels per guest, adjusted according to the length of their stay.

  • Pool Towel: We suggest providing one pool towel per guest, if applicable.

  • Please be aware that providing towels in bulk will incur an additional fee due to the increased laundry time.

Most Common Toiletries & Supplies Provided for Guests By Hosts:

  • Bathroom: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash or bar soap, toilet paper.

  • Kitchen: Dish soap, dishwasher soap, dish sponges, trash bag, paper towels, coffee.

  • Laundry: Laundry detergent pods. (Why detergent pods? so we can leave out just the right amount).

Washer & Dryer:

Always ensure that the washer and dryer are functioning properly and have them inspected regularly by a professional. It's crucial to verify that the vents are not clogged, as this can hinder the laundry from drying quickly. An efficient washer and dryer is a non-negotiable unless you'll be using a third party laundry service.

Damages:

Unfortunately, dealing with damages is something that many hosts have to deal with from time to time… it’s just part of the job. We will always keep you informed if we notice any damages to the house or its belongings, allowing you to take the necessary actions if needed.

Schedule periodic Deep Cleanings:

Although cleaning your vacation rental between guest check-outs will keep your property looking fresh and tidy most of the time, it’s important to schedule periodic deep cleanings of your unit, too. This type of deep cleaning isn’t required all the time but is necessary. You’ve heard of spring cleaning right?  Same thing, we recommend scheduling a deep clean at least twice per year or after a long-term rental.

Early Check-In & Late Check-Out: Please remember, it's important to communicate with us before approving any early check-ins or late check-out. We need to ensure the house is prepared on time and that the cleaners are not interrupted. Should an early check-out occur, please inform us; considering we clean several rental units daily, being able to enter the house earlier is greatly beneficial and appreciated.
